Honda Deepens Digital Engineering Partnership with Rescale

The expansion follows a joint benchmark validation process that confirmed Rescale’s platform as a viable foundation for Honda’s most demanding technical requirements. According to Tomoaki Utsunomiya, chief engineer at Honda’s Digital Unit, the shift is necessary to handle faster development cycles and the need for more complex physics simulations early in the R&D phase.

Rescale’s platform integrates high-performance computing, AI-accelerated modeling, and agentic engineering workflows into a single environment. This allows engineering teams to automate multi-step tasks and utilize surrogate models to test thousands of design iterations simultaneously. CEO Joris Poort noted that the collaboration focuses on supporting Honda's transition toward agentic engineering, where AI agents assist in navigating the technical challenges of modern vehicle programs.
