American Water Foundation Grants $75,000 for New Jersey Programs

The grants provide essential capital to groups working across the state to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional development. Junior Achievement of New Jersey and Students 2 Science each received $25,000 to bolster their career pathways and laboratory-based STEM programs. These initiatives focus on building technical skills, financial literacy, and critical problem-solving abilities for younger participants.

Additional funding supports community-based environmental and economic projects. The King’s Daughters Day School in Plainfield secured $15,000 to construct a rain garden, combining environmental education with hands-on water stewardship lessons for preschoolers. Meanwhile, the St. Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth received $10,000 to expand its workforce training services, which assist adult learners in acquiring the digital and professional skills necessary for economic mobility.
