The agreement marks a significant expansion of a two-decade relationship, positioning DXC not merely as a service provider but as the primary architect for Norske Skog’s broader technology landscape. By implementing the new SD-WAN, the company aims to replace legacy infrastructure with a scalable, software-driven framework that simplifies management while improving overall performance at its four European mills.

Børge Teigland, CIO at Norske Skog, emphasized that the move is essential for supporting the company's ongoing digital development, noting that the enhanced connectivity is critical for maintaining high availability across its manufacturing sites. Espen Olsen, Managing Director of DXC Norway, stated that the project leverages the trust established through years of managing the firm's IT estate. Beyond the network overhaul, DXC will continue to advise on applications and infrastructure, ensuring the paper producer’s technical foundation remains secure as market demands evolve.
