The strategic move grants SWI Group control over GDA’s 15 facilities, including several hyperscaler-grade sites situated in Texas. By integrating these assets with its existing 2.3 GW European data center platform, AiOnX, the group aims to scale its combined global capacity beyond 3.6 GW. Management plans to pivot GDA’s infrastructure specifically toward high-performance computing and AI-intensive workloads to meet surging demand.
Simultaneously, SWI Group has secured a majority stake in Polarise, a German-based AI infrastructure provider and official NVIDIA Cloud Service Provider. This dual acquisition allows the firm to offer a vertically integrated stack covering land, hardware, and software. Max-Hervé George, founder and CEO of SWI Group, described the expansion as a bridge between European and American markets, creating a unified platform capable of supporting the full lifecycle of AI models and applications.
