GC America Debuts GRADIA PREMi for SprintRay Midas Digital Press

SprintRay and GC America have unveiled GC GRADIA PREMi, a restorative material custom-engineered for the Midas Digital Press. Unveiled at the 3DNext summit in Miami, the resin leverages GC’s 105-year history in dental science to enable the high-viscosity "pressing" of crowns, inlays, and veneers rather than traditional layer-based 3D printing.

The partnership integrates GC’s material expertise with SprintRay’s Midas technology, which uses a capsule-based workflow to process highly filled resins. By actively pressing material into the build area, the system overcomes the limitations of conventional printers that rely on gravity-fed flow. This allows for the use of materials with higher filler content, which typically offer superior durability and esthetics compared to standard printing resins.

Amir Mansouri, Ph.D., CEO of SprintRay, noted that the platform removes previous manufacturing ceilings, allowing for the integration of high-performance materials from industry leaders like GC. Joseph Talanges, President and COO of GC America, emphasized that the material is designed to balance clinical longevity with same-day chairside efficiency. GC GRADIA PREMi utilizes High Density Micronization and Full Silane Coating to achieve high flexural strength while maintaining natural translucency and polish retention.

Clinicians can utilize the material for permanent restorations including single-unit crowns, onlays, and veneers. The workflow is fully validated for chairside use, pairing with GC’s existing adhesive and finishing products like G-BOND Universal and G-CEM ONE. While SprintRay’s Midas Restore is currently available, GC GRADIA PREMi is scheduled for release in the United States on November 1, 2026.
