Based on the Rubicon X, the Switchback emphasizes a mix-and-match philosophy. Jeep engineers sequence Gloss Black and Sting-Gray vehicles together during assembly, allowing for the deliberate exchange of hoods and doors. This process is punctuated by Gecko-colored accents on the grille, beadlock wheel rings, and hood graphics, marking the first time Jeep has utilized this bright finish on production wheel rings.
The interior continues this theme with a combination of Global Black and Sea Salt Nappa leather. Lime stitching ties the cabin to the exterior’s Gecko highlights, while unique plaques featuring technical blueprint illustrations provide a nod to the vehicle's manufacturing origins in Detroit and Toledo. Orders for the Switchback open in November, with the package priced at $2,870. The two-door model starts at $66,695, while the four-door variant is set at $69,995, including destination charges. This release concludes a series that began in late 2025, during which Jeep explored various themes ranging from military heritage and the 1980s Laredo trim to modern off-road performance.
