Jeep Launches Smoky Mountain Wrangler Edition at Tennessee Gathering

Amidst a crowd of 50,000 enthusiasts and 20,000 vehicles at the Smoky Mountain Invasion in Pigeon Forge, Jeep has unveiled its latest limited-run vehicle. The 2027 Wrangler Smoky Mountain special edition marks the tenth installment in the brand’s Twelve 4 Twelve series, blending heritage design with modern off-road engineering.

Built upon the Wrangler Willys platform, this four-door model pays homage to the Great Smoky Mountains through subtle aesthetic cues. The exterior features unique hood-side decals, a gloss black grille, and 17-inch smoky black wheels designed to evoke the region's mist-covered peaks. Drivers can opt for either standard 33-inch or available 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 All-Terrain tires, supported by Dana 44 axles and a locking rear differential to maintain the brand’s signature Trail Rated performance.

Inside, the cabin shifts toward a rugged, thematic environment. Designers incorporated Terracotta stitching and metallic Blaze Orange accents to capture the sunrise over the mountains, while the seating features embossed 1941 Willys parachute imagery. A specific nod to local wildlife appears on the shifter medallion, which displays a mama bear and cub graphic. Jeep brand CEO Branden Coté noted that the vehicle serves to honor the community of adventurers who frequent the annual Tennessee event. The edition is available for order now, carrying a premium of just $80 over a standard equipped Wrangler Willys.
