By utilizing a SaaS model, the college aims to reduce technical overhead while providing a scalable environment for skill development and competency verification. According to Dr. Amanda Baskwill, Senior Vice-President Academic at Loyalist, the tool offers the flexibility necessary for students to build professional confidence before entering clinical placements.
Nader Soltani, President at Sectra Canada, noted that the initiative seeks to standardize high-quality training across the institution. The agreement, finalized during the fourth quarter of Sectra’s 2025/2026 fiscal year, currently supports up to 50 users per month. As the college expands its medical programs, the portal’s architecture allows for the addition of further imaging specialties, mirroring the diagnostic workflows currently used in hospitals.
