The PGY-UFS5-EX-PA supports MIPI M-PHY v6.0, MIPI UniPro v3.0, and JEDEC UFS 5.0 specifications. By enabling data transfer rates of 46.64Gbps per lane, the tool provides the throughput necessary for resource-heavy workloads, including automotive ADAS, real-time AR/VR, and the local processing of large language models. The device allows engineers to conduct real-time protocol decoding and error analysis, overcoming the signal acquisition challenges inherent in PAM4 signaling at such high speeds.
Godfree Coelho, founder and CEO of Prodigy Technovations, noted that the transition to on-device AI requires a fundamental shift in how data moves within hardware. By providing tools that validate these high-performance storage foundations, the company aims to support SoC and UFS 5.0 vendors in meeting the rigorous reliability standards of the AI era. Peter Lefkin, executive director of the MIPI Alliance, emphasized that such validation tools are essential for maintaining a healthy ecosystem as companies adopt new specifications for mobile and automotive applications. The unit is available for immediate order, offering continuous streaming capabilities and packet-content-based triggering for complex debugging scenarios.
