The new Paraná plant functions as LG’s second home appliance hub in the country, complementing the long-standing Manaus facility. By integrating industrial robotics and Vision AI-based inspection systems, the factory aims to elevate production consistency and workplace safety. Articulated robots now manage high-risk tasks such as door assembly, while AI-driven quality checks ensure that every unit meets rigorous standards before hitting the market.
Engineered specifically for regional demands, the refrigerators produced here feature bi-voltage compatibility to accommodate Brazil’s dual 127V and 220V electrical systems. A dedicated R&D team of 40 local professionals tailored the designs to thrive in hot, humid climates and support local home-entertaining habits. Beyond domestic distribution, the facility is positioned to serve as a long-term export engine. Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, stated that this strategic expansion provides the agility necessary to respond to regional seasonal demand and shifting global supply chains.
