The contract solidifies a long-standing partnership, as Aker Solutions has provided offshore engineering support to the region since 2005. Operations will be managed from the company’s St. John’s office, mobilizing approximately 120 employees for both onshore and offshore tasks. This project follows the firm’s recent involvement in the 2024 Life Extension Drydock campaign for the SeaRose unit.
Paal Eikeseth, Executive Vice President of Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle business, noted that the company will utilize its established project execution model to maintain safety and efficiency across the assets. With the West White Rose platform slated to begin production in 2026, the new agreement ensures continued technical support for the basin’s infrastructure. The contract will be booked as order intake during the second quarter of 2026.
