Interventional cardiologist Dr. Alan Zajarias performed the first U.S. procedure using the device in St. Louis. The clinical debut serves as the starting point for a controlled rollout, with the company prioritizing elite cardiovascular centers to ensure precise execution and procedural support during the initial phase. According to Dr. Zajarias, the catheter demonstrated stability and efficient inflation and deflation times, qualities deemed essential for navigating complex anatomical environments during valvuloplasty.

CEO Michael Franklin noted that the launch is designed to provide clinicians with specialized tools intended to optimize patient outcomes. Founded in 2021, Corvention is now managing the transition from development to commercialization, encouraging cardiovascular centers interested in the technology to coordinate directly with their clinical affairs team regarding site readiness and scheduling.
