A 7.2% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions since 2022 anchors Kraton Corporation’s 2025 sustainability report. Kraton Reports 7.2% Emission Drop in Latest Sustainability Audit

CEO Sangwoo Ryu described the latest report, "Strengthening Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future," as a move toward more disciplined execution of existing corporate priorities. For the company, which specializes in pine-based chemicals, the transition involves integrating findings from a 2024 double materiality assessment into its core ESG framework. Chief Sustainability Officer Rogier Roelen emphasized that the credibility of these goals rests on the quality of underlying systems, rather than mere ambition.

Beyond emissions targets, the company’s recent operational milestones include joining the Cerisea Project to explore fossil-free ingredients and receiving the CSX Chemical Safety Excellence Award for rail transport standards. The company continues to structure its strategy around three pillars: preserving environmental resources, building a sustainable value chain with partners, and prioritizing employee well-being. The full disclosure, prepared under GRI, SASB, UNGC, and TCFD standards, confirms the firm’s intent to link its specialty polymer production to more rigorous transparency requirements.
