The collaboration centers on a new industrial-grade reference design tailored for size, weight, and power-constrained environments. By leveraging SiMa.ai’s recently launched Palette Neat agentic environment, the platform enables advanced onboard processing, including obstacle detection and GPS-denied navigation. Because the system performs inference at a sub-10W power envelope without requiring cloud connectivity, it offers a robust solution for mission-critical deployments where latency and reliability are paramount.
Durga Peddireddy, vice president of Product Management and Partnerships at SiMa.ai, noted that the industry is currently at an inflection point where success depends on integrating proven hardware with high-performance compute. Karthikeyan Sakthivel, vice president of ESAI at Mistral Solutions, emphasized that the partnership provides customers with a validated, purpose-built foundation for robotics and aerospace applications. The reference design is slated for release to qualified drone OEMs and system integrators in Q3 2026.
