The collaboration centers on the Barak LightGuard system, a surveillance platform developed by Drive Group subsidiary Barak 555. By combining Innoviz’s LiDAR sensors with AI-driven analytics and video cameras, the system can detect and classify humans, vehicles, or animals at distances reaching 1,000 meters. This technology is intended for use in border security, drone localization, and smart transportation infrastructure.
Innoviz, a NASDAQ-listed supplier, has already received an initial purchase order from Drive Group to begin immediate integration. Eldar Cegla, CFO of Innoviz, described the deal as a commercial validation of their technology for the security sector, noting that it establishes a significant revenue stream over the next 18 months. Drive Group, which manages major Israeli transit routes under the ownership of Shikun & Binui and Egged Holdings, plans to leverage this partnership to strengthen its position in the global defense and homeland security markets.
