Operating out of Iron Station, the flight school has carved out a reputation for technical precision and student-focused instruction. Their curriculum spans private pilot licensing, instrument ratings, and commercial certifications, backed by a fleet that includes five Cessna 172s, a Cessna 182, and a Beechcraft B55 Baron. Students also utilize an FAA-certified simulator to sharpen decision-making skills before taking to the skies.
Owner Jim Rhoades-Baldwin credits the school's success to the daily commitment of his instructional team. The regional award arrives shortly after the facility earned status as a 2026 AOPA Distinguished Flight School, a designation determined by student feedback. By maintaining an in-house A&P/IA-credentialed mechanic, the school ensures its aircraft meet safety standards for its trainees from Mecklenburg, Gaston, Lincoln, and Iredell counties.
