The project operates under the emirate’s Health, Endurance, Longevity, and Medicine (HELM) Cluster, designed to streamline the transition from laboratory discovery to clinical application. By leveraging Abu Dhabi’s existing regulatory and scientific infrastructure, the partners intend to bolster global health security while fostering local expertise in vaccine development.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the DoH, emphasized that the initiative creates a dedicated environment for innovators to test and scale solutions. Sanofi’s leadership highlighted that the convergence of artificial intelligence and mRNA science is fundamentally reshaping how vaccines are brought to patients. Beyond local manufacturing, the center is expected to serve as a strategic node for responding to future public health threats, marking a significant expansion of the capital’s role in the global life sciences sector.
