The presence at the June 22–25 event marks a strategic shift for the hospital, which is moving to leverage its status as a National Strategic Technology Specialized Research Institute. SNUH will feature five companies under its wing, including G.R.E.A.T project participants HTnB and MEDIARK, alongside hospital-affiliated ventures RSREHAB, Idea2Market, and CENYXBIOTECH. These startups will gain direct access to investor networking and business development meetings, bridging the gap between local innovation and the U.S. market.
Beyond startup incubation, the hospital is positioning its Korea Health Data Platform as a primary vehicle for international research partnerships. Following the convention, SNUH will host an additional collaborative event on June 26 in partnership with the Korea Technology Finance Corporation and Shinhan Financial Group. This follow-up session incorporates a seminar with Stanford Biodesign, focusing on identifying unmet clinical needs to refine global market entry strategies. SNUH President Nam-Jong Paik emphasized that the initiative aims to create a self-sustaining cycle between academia and industry, ensuring that domestic research becomes a core driver of Korea's future economic growth.
