Santhosh Suvarna Claims Record $2.42 Million Pot on High Stakes Poker

A single hand during Season 16 of PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker has shattered existing records, with Santhosh Suvarna walking away with a $2,421,500 pot. The massive confrontation against DraftKings co-founder Matt Kalish eclipsed the previous show record by over $1 million, cementing a new milestone for the long-running series.

The tension escalated quickly after more than $400,000 sat in the pot before the flop, involving Sam Kiki, Sameh Elamawy, Suvarna, and Kalish. Following a $125,000 bet from Suvarna and a call from Kiki, Kalish pushed his remaining $948,000 into the center. Suvarna committed his final $823,000, forcing Kiki to fold. Both players opted to run the boards twice, with Suvarna sweeping both outcomes to secure the historic payout.

This victory marks Suvarna’s second time holding the record on the program. He previously set the bar in Season 12 with a $992,000 win against Andrew Robl, a figure later surpassed by Alan Keating’s $1,412,500 pot in Season 14. Brent Hanks, CEO of PokerGO, noted that the hand exemplifies the show's status as the premier destination for high-stakes cash games. Season 16 is currently streaming on the PokerGO platform.
