Catalight Academy Secures Dual Accreditation to Expand Clinical Training

Walnut Creek-based Catalight Academy has earned official accreditation from the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA), marking a significant shift in the digital platform’s ability to provide globally recognized credentials for behavioral health practitioners.

Catalight Academy Secures Dual Accreditation to Expand Clinical Training

The platform, which evolved from the earlier Catalight Classroom, now issues IACET-accredited continuing education units that extend beyond the autism and intellectual disability sectors into broader healthcare and education fields. By securing these certifications, the organization aims to bridge the gap between the rising demand for autism-specialized clinicians and the current limited supply of qualified providers.

Brianna Fitchett, vice president of clinical impact at Catalight, noted that these accreditations allow the academy to support a more diverse range of professionals. Beyond the new credentials, the academy continues to provide units for psychologists, speech-language pathologists, and therapists. The curriculum emphasizes outcome-driven care models that prioritize evidence-based interventions over high-frequency in-person treatment sessions, catering to both seasoned practitioners and caregivers seeking a deeper understanding of developmental support.
