The partnership marks a shift in how tactical defense operations may process data. Planck Dynamics, a portfolio company of NUNC Capital, intends to utilize the NeuraWave architecture to enable real-time, low-latency AI at the network edge. By moving away from centralized infrastructure, the technology aims to provide front-line operators with rapid decision-making capabilities in environments where power efficiency and thermal footprint are critical constraints.
Under the current agreement, delivery of the initial five units is scheduled for 2026. Further deployment depends on the successful completion of specific technical milestones. Executives from both firms view this collaboration as a validation of photonic reservoir computing’s ability to handle complex temporal AI and time-series workloads. For QCi, the project serves as a bridge to integrate its proprietary quantum optics and integrated photonics into defense-grade applications, supporting NATO and allied forces with ruggedized, edge-native intelligence.
