The inaugural event will take place at Hall 2 of Messe Basel, hosting over 400 exhibitors including manufacturers, designers, and wholesalers. Organizers have opted for a decentralized floor plan that moves away from traditional uniform layouts, instead structuring the venue into specialized neighborhoods. These zones—ranging from Diamond & Gem Districts to dedicated Watch Valleys and a Tech Hub—are intended to reflect the distinct cultural identities of the global markets they represent.
Margaret Ma Connolly, President and CEO of Informa Markets in Asia, described the partnership as a natural convergence of two organizations focused on industrial ecosystems. For the host city, the fair represents a significant logistical undertaking. Local authorities and hospitality stakeholders in Basel are currently coordinating to manage the anticipated influx of international visitors. Beyond the commercial exhibition, the four-day event will feature a series of conferences and panel discussions aimed at addressing the shifting complexities of global jewellery and watch sourcing.
