The campaign aims to shift perceptions of the country beyond traditional tourism, highlighting a blend of coastal leisure, deep cultural heritage, and modern gastronomy.

The collaboration leverages Wego’s extensive digital reach to promote diverse Spanish experiences, ranging from the architectural landmarks of Barcelona to the flamenco traditions of Seville. By moving beyond conventional hotspots, the initiative encourages visitors to explore the Mediterranean coastline, including the sun-soaked shores of Málaga, Valencia, and the luxury offerings of Ibiza.

Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego, noted that the partnership is designed to match Spain’s multifaceted travel profile with the specific interests of the regional audience. Carlos Ruiz González, Director of Turespaña for the GCC, added that the effort aligns with their "Think you know Spain? Think again" campaign, which challenges travelers to uncover authentic local communities and lesser-known regions. This push reflects a broader strategy to boost sustainable tourism and capitalize on the growing demand for meaningful travel experiences supported by high-quality infrastructure.
