Nadia Zenato’s departure from the company’s daily leadership closes a significant chapter in Italian viticulture. Since taking the reins of the business founded by her parents, Sergio and Carla, she challenged the industry’s male-dominated norms by steering the brand into more than 60 countries. Her tenure transformed the wines of Lake Garda and Valpolicella into global benchmarks for quality, balancing rigorous discipline with a commitment to the family legacy.
"Zenato is, first and foremost, a family story," she noted, reflecting on the transition. Moving forward, she intends to dedicate her efforts to the estate she manages with her mother, Sansonina, alongside her work with the Fondazione Nadia Zenato ETS. Her new professional roadmap prioritizes wine tourism, the promotion of Italian labels on the world stage, and multidisciplinary projects that intersect with contemporary photography and social research.
