The expansion introduces four core components to NetActuate's platform: Cloud Routers, Magic Mesh, stateful firewalls, and VPC Load Balancing. These tools allow engineers to deploy virtual routing and security layers directly through a redesigned portal or API, bypassing the rigid constraints often found in major cloud ecosystems. By enabling native support for BGP routing, WireGuard tunnels, and cross-cloud connectivity, the company aims to facilitate private, multi-site network architectures that operate independently of any single provider.
CEO Mark Mahle stated that the move addresses a growing industry backlash against egress fees and the loss of operational transparency. The new platform enables organizations to define security rules that follow specific workloads and automate BGP management, including IRR and RPKI updates. With visibility features providing analytics on traffic sources and prefix-level data, the update positions NetActuate as a direct alternative for companies prioritizing data sovereignty and geographic compliance across its 45 global markets.
