Jacobs has led Delaware North since 2015, sharing executive duties with his brothers, Lou and Charlie. His tenure at the global hospitality firm spans four decades, beginning in 1986. During his time there, he managed operations across sports venues, gaming, and food services, while also serving as an alternate governor for the Boston Bruins. Beyond his corporate work, Jacobs chairs the UB Council and maintains active roles with the US Travel Association and The Corps Network.

M&T chairman and CEO René Jones cited Jacobs’ background in operational execution and his deep regional ties to Western New York as key factors for the board selection. The incoming director, a Georgetown and Wharton alumnus, stated he intends to support the bank’s disciplined growth strategy and commitment to its community-focused model. Jacobs joins a board currently overseeing a financial network that stretches from Maine to Virginia.
