Creative Planning President and CEO Peter Mallouk cited the firm’s long-standing reputation and client-first philosophy as primary drivers for the deal. Under the terms of the agreement, MarkhamNorton’s existing team will maintain its local office presence, ensuring continuity for the businesses and families who have relied on their services for decades. The move significantly bolsters Creative Planning’s reach within the Florida market.
For MarkhamNorton, the transition offers a way to address the growing complexity of client needs through access to a broader suite of services. Managing Partner Karen Mosteller noted that the firm sought a partner with the scale and fiduciary focus necessary to support clients for future generations. Clients will retain their current professional relationships while gaining access to the buyer’s extensive resources, including legal, insurance, and family office solutions. Creative Planning currently oversees more than $710 billion in assets under management or advisement.
