The latest infusion of capital supports a diverse range of localized initiatives, from the Fund for Public Housing in New York City to the Los Angeles Urban League. These programs focus on practical outcomes, including workforce readiness, STEM learning for students, and digital security training for seniors. Rahman Khan, Group Vice President of Community Impact, emphasized that the initiative views digital access as a fundamental requirement for participating in modern education and employment markets.
Since its inception, the program has facilitated the distribution of over 20,000 devices and sponsored more than 50,000 classes. By targeting organizations like the CARDBOARD Project in Dallas and MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries in St. Louis, the funding reaches individuals experiencing homelessness and those in remote areas. These efforts aim to equip community members with the tools necessary to navigate telehealth, online safety, and high-growth professional fields.
