Investigations revealed the child suffered life-threatening complications after consuming the beef, requiring extensive medical intervention at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, including dialysis and blood transfusions.

Attorney Bill Marler stated that the firm’s investigation uncovered evidence regarding the movement of the beef before it reached the restaurant, shifting focus toward the broader distribution network. The litigation demands compensation for the child’s permanent injuries, ongoing medical care, and pain and suffering, asserting that safety obligations extend beyond the final point of sale to every entity responsible for sourcing and handling the product.
