American Water Names New Presidents for Missouri and Illinois Units

Rich Svindland is stepping down as president of Missouri American Water on October 23, triggering a leadership shuffle across the company's Midwest operations. Rebecca Losli, the current Illinois president, will move to lead the Missouri subsidiary, while Brian Eisenloeffel will step up to head the Illinois division.

Cheryl Norton, executive vice president and chief operating officer at American Water, emphasized that the appointments leverage the internal expertise of both executives. Losli brings a background in engineering and business development, having previously served as director of Engineering for Missouri American Water before moving to Illinois in 2022. Her prior experience includes a stint at the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and founding her own engineering firm.

Brian Eisenloeffel transitions to the Illinois presidency from his role as vice president of operations, a position he has held since 2024. He represents a long-tenured veteran within the company, having joined Missouri American Water as an engineer in 2002. His career path includes significant operational oversight in St. Louis County, a trajectory the company expects will provide stability for its Illinois customer base.
