The Apopka site, which previously held Class H status, now supports both levels of production. By integrating this with existing MIL-PRF-38535 Class Q and V certifications for monolithic microcircuits, Micross joins an exclusive group of manufacturers equipped to provide both single-chip and multi-chip solutions for high-reliability environments. CEO Jim Cannon noted that the achievement is the result of years of investment in internal processes and capabilities, aimed at providing defense programs with a secure, domestic supply chain.
Operations at the 85,000-square-foot facility are ITAR-registered and AS9100D-certified, ensuring a controlled path from design to final hardware. The site features 5,000 square feet of ISO Class 5 cleanroom space specifically dedicated to hybrid assembly, screening, and testing. Chris Long, President of Micross North America, stated that the facility is prepared to scale production to meet the accelerating demand for mission-critical electronics in the defense and aerospace sectors.
