The collaboration integrates PursuitAlert’s patented DigitalSiren technology into the H.E.L.P. Alert Network, creating a unified system that pushes location-specific warnings to drivers long before an emergency vehicle enters their line of sight. By feeding data from active pursuits and Code 3 responses into connected navigation apps and in-cabin displays, the system provides motorists with critical seconds to slow down or change lanes, reducing the risk of secondary collisions.
According to the companies, this multi-layered approach to road safety significantly outperforms traditional warning methods. Data indicates that combining digital alerts with visual vehicle lighting can improve driver compliance—specifically the 'slow-down-and-move-over' behavior—by at least four times, while potentially cutting crash risks by up to 90%. Tim Morgan, CEO of PursuitAlert, and ESS CEO David Tucker noted that the integration serves to protect both the public and first responders, ensuring that high-stakes, erratic roadway events do not escalate into further tragedies.
