TREMFYA shows sustained three-year remission in Crohn's disease patients

Ninety-four percent of patients with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease achieved clinical remission after three years of treatment with TREMFYA, according to new data from the Phase 3 GALAXI 2 and 3 studies presented at the American College of Gastroenterology 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting.

TREMFYA shows sustained three-year remission in Crohn's disease patients

The long-term extension results, tracked through Week 144, highlight the durability of guselkumab in managing the chronic inflammatory condition. Beyond clinical remission, 88% of patients maintained corticosteroid-free status, and up to 61% achieved endoscopic remission. The findings, which cover two different maintenance dosing regimens, suggest a consistent safety profile for the drug, with 74% of participants remaining on the treatment throughout the three-year period.

Dr. David Rubin, director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at the University of Chicago, noted that the ability to sustain these outcomes is significant for patients dealing with a lifelong disease. The data supports the drug's role in providing deep, long-term disease control, an essential need for managing intestinal inflammation. Johnson & Johnson continues to position TREMFYA as a primary option for patients who have previously struggled with conventional therapies or biologics.
