Experts to Propose Healthcare AI Regulations at Capitol Hill Briefing

The October 13 luncheon, hosted in Room 330 of the Cannon House Office Building, focuses on the intersection of rapid technological advancement and patient safety. Experts will examine how AI reshapes diagnostics and operational efficiency, using pediatric health case studies to highlight both the diagnostic potential and the persistent challenges of algorithmic implementation. Dr. Dennis J. Dietzen of Phoenix Children's Hospital will moderate the session, joined by Dr. Sarah Wheeler of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Dr. Stephen Master from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The panel aims to provide lawmakers with a clear framework for oversight, ensuring that the adoption of AI does not compromise outcomes for the nation’s most vulnerable populations.
