Remark Debuts Real-Time Virtual Try-On for Luxury Fashion

Luxury shoppers can finally see how a garment drapes while in motion, as Remark introduces an AI-powered try-on tool that replaces static overlays with live, physics-based rendering. The technology, which functions directly within web browsers, aims to bridge the gap between digital convenience and the tactile experience of high-end boutiques.

Existing virtual tools often rely on stiff simulations that fail to mimic the behavior of real fabric. Remark changes this by rendering clothing that responds to the shopper’s movements, allowing a jacket or dress to turn and flow naturally in high definition. The platform removes the need for additional app downloads, enabling users to swap colors and sizes mid-session while receiving styling advice from an integrated AI advisor.

Theo Satloff, CEO and co-founder of Remark, argues that consumers have long ignored virtual try-on features because they treat people like mannequins and clothes like stickers. By focusing on how a garment behaves on a moving body, the company intends to reduce the high rate of online returns that currently plagues the luxury sector. The tool is rolling out through fall 2026 across partnerships with brands including Ariat, J.McLaughlin, and Veronica Beard, representing a broader industry shift toward digitizing the nuanced expertise of a human stylist.
