Rackspace Technology Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over AI Strategy Shift

Investors who purchased Rackspace Technology securities between May 7 and July 8, 2026, are being urged to contact Robbins LLP regarding a new securities class action. The lawsuit follows a sharp 33.6% drop in share price after the company slashed its fiscal year revenue guidance by $150 million.

Rackspace Technology Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over AI Strategy Shift

The complaint centers on allegations that Rackspace misled shareholders about the financial implications of its pivot toward enterprise AI. While the company touted a partnership with Advanced Micro Devices on May 7, 2026, and reaffirmed public cloud revenue guidance, internal disclosures on July 9 revealed a different reality. The company admitted that its AI ambitions necessitated a significant redirection of capital away from its profitable Private Cloud segment and acknowledged that public cloud revenue was already in decline as clients bypassed middlemen to contract directly with hyperscale platforms.

Following these revelations, Rackspace stock plummeted by $2.21, closing at $4.37 on July 9. The litigation asserts that Rackspace failed to disclose that its AI infrastructure investments would compromise near-term margins and force a reduction in its 2026 outlook. Robbins LLP is currently seeking investors who suffered significant losses during the class period to serve as lead plaintiffs. Interested parties must file their applications with the court by September 28, 2026. The firm operates on a contingency basis, meaning no upfront costs are required for those participating in the action.
