Paris Baguette Opens New Bakery Café in Georgetown

Georgetown residents now have a new spot for artisan pastries and handcrafted coffee as franchise owners Saige and David Lee debut their Paris Baguette location at 1314 West University Avenue. The café, which officially opens its doors on August 14, marks the 28th site for the chain within Texas.

For David Lee, the launch represents a shift from a long-term corporate career in retail operations to local entrepreneurship. A longtime patron of the brand, Lee intends to position the space as a community hub rather than a standard retail bakery. The new site brings the company’s signature selection of cakes, breads, and donuts to a growing local market, filling a niche for French-inspired café experiences in the area.

This opening aligns with a broader strategy for the bakery chain, which currently operates over 300 locations across North America. CEO Darren Tipton noted that the brand aims to reach 1,000 locations across the United States and Canada by 2030. By partnering with local owners, the company hopes to re-establish the neighborhood bakery as a focal point for daily social interaction and celebration.
