CEO Sean Macdonald attributed the steady performance to strong global consumer demand, particularly in the direct-to-consumer sector, which saw a 61% surge in the first six months. While second-quarter revenue grew by only 1% to $16.39 million, the company emphasized that this figure masks underlying momentum that was briefly hindered by logistics timing. These bottlenecks, which specifically affected MOTO apparel and helmet shipments, have since been resolved.
The company is now pivoting toward new growth verticals, including a partnership with Cardo Systems to integrate wireless mesh communication into the MOTO 8.5 helmet. Furthermore, the firm has established Bike Care Technologies, a Polish entity tasked with distributing premium bike care products, with a commercial launch slated for the third quarter. With $19.53 million in cash and equivalents, Leatt management remains focused on expanding its global sales team and maintaining a robust product pipeline.
